On-site and virtual auditing
Here at the GFSC, we have a carefully selected team of highly experienced consultants who audit food manufacturing sites across the world. We believe that the hallmark of a good audit is thoroughness – knowing where to look and what questions to ask. The work we do isn’t designed to repeat BRC type audits, and whilst we often target specific problems (e.g. Listeria), we largely focus on factory wide assessments that cover UK retailer requirements.
People are central to the standards in place at any site – from the management team to the personnel on the factory floor. So assessing the culture within an organisation forms a fundamental part of our auditing process. The approach we take to auditing is that we want to be able to give advice and add value to businesses. We discuss issues with the site management teams to find practical and workable solutions. From there, we will help to formulate and prioritise action plans for long-term and lasting improvement.
